I have flashed bios a number times and its all fine for a number of weeks then one morning boom cold boot problem. I did have a problem with my joystick causing Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 Easy Tune6 once but i never really use it anymore so i dont have it plugged in. I did turn my ram down from 16 to 13 to see if that could be the problem.

[SOLVED] Updated BIOS and now windows won't start - Tech Support Forum
I encourage everyone experiencing bugs in the UEFI updates to do the same. Glad you figured out where you were have problems booting and the efi2awd tool worked for you. Technically you don't need an autoexec. Also, I did report my displayport issue to gigabyte but they simply told me to wait for an official version of UEFI yet the version that I downloaded was from their official bios download page. Also no ETA on when this official-official version might come out Yeah man i second that! Also VTT voltage stuck at 1. Overall it seems F12j may be close to identical to F All the the added features, functionality, and fixes from the last few bios releases seem to be gone. It makes me suspect that F12j is a hotfix for F11, rather than the beta release which comes after F12i.
I didn't claim DOS booting was broken, Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 Easy Tune6 that video output was. It goes against your instincts typing bios flash commands in a command prompt you can't see, wouldn't you agree? I believe it helps to have the motherboard out of the case for this as well.
I'm running F2, the latest version. Lsdmeasap OK, well lets see how things go when you put a disk in there. It should prove to be very useful Lsdmeasap K, Good luck setting everything up!
I've tried diskpart Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 Easy Tune6 clean and format the disk, and it fails. Windows 7 installation fails. I have a very hard time finding the disk in my current Vista based system as an additional drive. I had to update the ICH9R driver to 8.
Is this likely to be a driver issue? I'll try the new Intel driver. Funny thing is I downloaded a new driver off of Gigabyte. That driver was version 8. If v10 is the latest, maybe they should update their download page!
