Even with the extra space afforded from the EATX footprint, every bit of space is in use. The lower ASUS Rampage Extreme LAN of the board is no less busy, but a silver and black cover hides almost everything but the PCIe slots. Four X16 physical slots are here for up to quad-card configurations, and a single PCIe x4 hides in the middle. Next is a USB 3. One is also capable of high power output to feed a water pump.
Next are a Digital RGB controller plug with a temp sensor connection above it and the Thunderbolt expansion plug. Above these are 2 switches for slow mode and a reserved switch, the ASUS Rampage Extreme LAN hardware key connector, temp in and out sensor headers, another 4-pin water pump plug and water flow meter connection.

Going up the side of the board, you get a U. A bunch of voltage test points sit just in front of the 24 pin power connection as well.
The top right corner is quite busy. A Retry and Safe button are found just under the larger physical Reset and Power buttons.
Another reserved switch is just above the power switch as pictured here, ASUS Rampage Extreme LAN the one furthest to the right is the Slow mode switch. Between the main ram slots, and the Dimm. If any remain lit for extended periods during POST, it indicates an issue with that subsystem.
